1.
A long time ago In a land, far far away It was the beasts of the dark that ruled The existence of man Hung in the balance As survival depended upon, the sword and the shield But only a few brave souls Raised the banners And battled with evil Shamans began to gather At the highest peak of the tallest mountain To portend a cataclysmic event Swirling mass envelops the sun With ashen scales and azure eyes The pulse of beating wings heard for miles As if suspended It looms over the citadel Casting gelid shards Piercing through townsfolk Night blankets frostbitten roofs Wind kisses the dead goodnight The foretellings of this horrific event Bring twelve men to gather Bearing arms, prepared to fight This quest guided by the local shaman Her spellcraft known throughout the land As they traverse, into the unknown Destruction shepherds their path Days turn to weeks, dwindling provisions These wanderers begin to waver In the distance, a small village Where they may rest and resupply Slumber brings fever dreams Visions of anguish, loss, and despair Blood staining the grass Glossed-over eyes stare They awake, drenched in sweat Specters hover above Their gangly fingers pressed into temples Extracting blissful memories Without falter, the shaman stands Emblazing the room with a single spell Hurling the demons into oblivion
2.
Inside this boisterous tavern Nailed-up signs detail of a bounty paid in gold Mead-stained steel strewn across tables For this night, may be their last These wanderers have ventured far and wide Pursuing the most fearsome creature Yet this bounty, speaks of dark witchery Sinister magic, of ungodly doings Heading for the outskirts of the village Ruins of a once elegant temple Stand in the shadows Light flickers under an oblique door They press forward into the catacombs To find the dead being raised Necromantic summonings Spoken in the old tongue The damned enthralled By a sallow, woebegone man Clashing, till the sunrise greets In hopes to end his power They drag his body outside the temple And slit his throat, jetting black blood

Moon Amulet 06:10
Flickering flames from the fire cast eerie silhouettes against the trees Deep in the heart of a forest, these travelers find restless sleep For tomorrow brings a voyage, across tempestuous waters Coin is counted at dockside Paid by numerous collected bounties Setting sail, passengers whisper of a drake Glimpsed passing over the sea Porting in the new land they are welcomed by a priestess Who speaks of an amulet carved from the body of the almighty celestial heavens This talisman enchanted with the old magick Powerful enough to ensnare ancient gods Lost eons ago in the foothills of the north shore Heavy rain soaks tattered cloaks As they navigate the treacherous vista Climbing highlands and barren moors Standing atop the highest peak of the tallest mountain The shaman descries a sigil carved into a hollowed oak tree Pulling from the moss and rot A weather-beaten amulet Shouts of joy cut short by the beating of wings They stare into the face that took their everything Pulling steel from their scabbards As the dragon plunges down from the sky
4.
Icy splinters spew from its throat Shattering around these brave souls Raising their banners, they charge forward Battle-cries echo off the craggy highlands Swords catch scales as teeth meet bone Blood splatters blossoming edelweiss The shaman grasping the moon amulet Chants a spell in the old tongue Blasting from the heart of the stone A ray of light, halting time For all but the caster Frozen Darkness pulls her back As a harvest moon hangs heavy in the sky Their battle presses on Several bodies lay lifeless While the remaining men strike and slash Picking herself up off the ground She fires a blaze of flames A deafening shriek fragments the stars As the dragon collides with earth Silence quickly fills the void Life fades from its azure eyes Spiraling back up into the clouds With charred wings and now scarlet eyes It wails to its ancestors And makes its final descent Wiping sweat from her brow The shaman harnesses the last of her power Sending one last sphere of fire through the air Hitting her mark Victory for the dragonslayers!
